    ...really quick.

Nobody should leave the forum because of me.

The new mods have my confidence. The old mods have my friendship.

It's the internet, don't get worked up about it.

I'll be back eventually, I'm sure.

    think before you post.

All manner of men came to work for the News: everything from wild young Turks who wanted to rip the world in half and start all over again -- to tired, beer-bellied old hacks who wanted nothing more than to live out their days in peace before a bunch of lunatics ripped the world in half.

I often felt RH's posts were as insightful if not more so then the actual articles they commented on, and his ability to absolutely pick apart a silly post is legendary. I always enjoyed his posting, even when I was the victim.

really though, congrats to the new mods. fair minded are they, and leaders of the astray.

    They have my confidence.

but all this has made me think. we need a thread about our favorite moments on the forum.

my first two are all the poor souls who lost sig bets to me. I still think Mitzjudo is the MAN for wearing that Baroni sig I made him wear. and he did it like the man he is.

also the epic Trigg resistance. I laughed every time I logged on.

    anyone else?
330 at the bike racks is ok I guess. Also much respect to you even if I want to meet you at the bikes. Here's a song for you

Oh the churchbells are ringin' in the schoolyard,
And we all went out those days
The bully said "Mick would you fancy a rumble?"
I said "Yes, it's time to play!"

Oh the nuns and the priests they grabbed their Rosaries
As they pulled our bodies apart
The bully said "Mick you lost the fight, but you've gained my respect!
You fight with so much heart!"

He had an inate ability to absolutely cut through the BS and put things in perspective.

If you posted something, you'd better be damn sure you're not making generalizations and your data was correct. Otherwise, you were getting nuked.

My favorite part about the older guys, and no disrespect to the newer ones, is that many of us see things from a historical perspective and many things that happened can't simply be summed up by looking at Wikipedia or Youtube. You just had to see it yourself. Personally, I'm afraid the careers of guys like Fedor, Shogun, Wandy, etc. will be viewed in this way and very few will understand what was going on.

Which is why you must also watch tape before saying anything about history.
