i have a question---the rules say there is no flaming on the forums, but what about if you're giving someone neg rep? Can I say something to the nature of "yea how bout deez nuts bitch" or something like that in the comment box of the rep if someone ever pushes me into negging them?

i actually just did that a second ago. I just thought I'd ask so I wont be suprised if some admin thinks it's ban worthy and i try to log on later tonight and i'm not able to.

edit: if anyone were to get banned for a PM or REP then that's FUCKING BULLSHIT

The kid gloves come off whenever I neg rep someone or someone PMs me. I figure it's private stuff so they won't do anything unless its like that guy sundance mentioned that linked scat porn.

Perhaps it is more about the fact that he's been here for nearly two years and back then this was a much much smaller forum. A lot of us miss that smaller community.

Neg Reps kind of promote flaming, especially now that you HAVE to leave a comment when you give someone one. It is kind of hard not to flame someone when they just said something stupid and you feel like telling them that they are a dumbass.

This coming from someone with 3 months here lol. Never mind, make it 500+ rep so I don't have to read your posts either. I have been here almost since the beginning, unlike you with a whopping 3 months under your belt, + being a post whore, posting on every corner. I personally think this is a good idea. It's not about rep levels, but familiarity. If someone has 100 rep points then they have been around and other members know who they are. One problem I see w/ the growth is that some threads are full of people who will post a few times and then disappear. Just my opinion though.

I'm sorry, I misread that statement I quoted. I thought it said "1000" rep points, not 100. That makes a lot more sense.

Anyway, if we ignored the statements under 100 points, then we could miss out on some really good viewpoints. Plus, if someone else WAS viewing posts under 100 rep, you'd get really confused when they responded to the under-100 crowd.

Again, sorry for the confusion. I thought Mark was asking everyone to ignore his own posts.

Yeah consider it squashed. I basically wanted a place where people who are big fans, that come here almost daily, and know what they are talking about. A lot of the people come here and ignore the noob jack city and just post or post stuff that others have already posted which is a waste of everyone else's time that have to read it.
