I am wondering how some people have massive sigs, and I am limited to 500x100 pixels?

The site has limits but you can use a photo hosting service like photobucket.com. Don't make it too big or the mods will still ask you to remove it or they will remove it for you.

Upload your file to photobucket and use the directlink from that to insert image button which will ask you for the URL. It will upload it for you.

I suggested a limit of like 600x300 or so a while back as a reasonable maximum to shoot for. Anything over that, and it might get pulled
