mmanews has the virus again
 

Dude I dont know what you guys keep doing but fix it. The main page is infected again and Im going to be pissed if I have a virus. I had to actually type in the address bar Taking you to the MMANews.com forums, sit tight... just to get here cause the main page keeps poping up saying I have a virus and it need to scan. so I hit the x in corner of the pop up and it opens a web page saying its scanning my computer wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is bullshit

If you haven't yet, just bookmark the actual forum page so to bypass the main page. That's what I did and haven't had a problem since.

I guess im looking for an answer for why they let this happen.

I never have a problem with the main page. Hell, I run Vista with no virus protection and never get popups.

Are you using firefox or IE? Firefox blocks alot of things automatically, just due to better security parameters.

Couldn't tell you, MSN's main page gets viruses, you have to ask the people who create and put the viruses out there why they do it.

You guys do realize that the virus is tied to one of your advertisements and it's as simple as blocking that advertiser right?

The guys that work the front page should move on this quickly. Simply telling people not to go to the main page not only reduces the quality of the site but also it pretty much implies that you guys are allowing it.

I've had that same thing happen several times. I've actually limited my coming here because of it.

I only tell people to bypass the front page because I have no idea who runs it and don't know how to get it fixed.
