What are the chances that Mac drops to his natural wait 155 after the show is over? I for one am hoping he doesn't win the show and just drops right after the show.

Also how do you think he would have done had he took part last season, rather than in the welterweight tuf.

I wouldn't mind seeing him matched up with Joe Lauzon or Nate Diaz.

I think he'll drop, the WW division is pretty much a clusterfuck right now, and is stacked with guys ahead of him in title contention.

The LW division is only a tiny clusterfuck in comparison, and one could argue there is less depth.

Ultimately, I think he'd match up better against top 5 LW's than he would with WWs, although I don't see him beating Penn at either weightclass.

Mac is definitely a LW, and he'll be making the drop rather quick imo. I think the only reason they put him on the show was to get him some pub, and then he'll go to LW and make waves. I've always liked Danzig as a fighter, and he's been in some huge fights. He'll be tough for any LW (outside of BJ of course).

A good majority of the fighters on this season could afford to drop. Mac isn't ready for top 10 comp in either weight class, but he'll be making waves in a year or so.
