Tommy has managed to pull two fights where he was close to being submitted early on, out of the water. Give the guy a little credit.. Tight RNC, Good Arm Bar, Decent Triangle.. and he got out of all 3...
P.S. This should have been posted in TUF Forum.. one of the mods should probably move it.
You let one thread go.. and thats how it starts |

You let one thread go.. and thats how it starts | It's been a while since I've been opinionated enough about something MMA related to argue about it. I forgot the rules...

his arm should have been a goner
anyone see anything technically wrong with how ben had the armbar applied?
perhaps his knees should have been closer together? lol

Hmm, I assumed that it was going to be Tommy not fighting either because of the arm or the cut. But if its somebody leaving for another reason that really throws things open. I think that Mac is safe since he wouldnt be blogging about it if he left, but it could be any of the other 3.

I would bet that such rumors are originating from a marketing hype job. I wouldn't put it past the UFC to engage in a little guerrilla marketing. But if it is true, the only two guys I can see it happening to is Mac or George. Matt and Tommy seem too even keeled for anything to get them going. I really hope it's not true though, it would be a shame for any of these guys to go down like that.

On a similar note: "The biggest knockout of the season."
If its a double entendre, Matt may very well KO Danzig. Not saying its likely, but...just sayin'.

Anyone who relies on his strength so much to get himself out of trouble so often will never contend for a title shot in the 170lb division. Maybe one day after he takes enough embarassing losses to learn to submission game but not anytime in the near future.
I'm just curious to see what other people think about Speers and his potential. | of course i see potention in speers, look at maynard from last season. He got caught by diaz but now maynards an animal, he was with the right camp and i think maynard is an absolute animals. If Speers plays it right he can be animal in all the same ways. Clean up his stand-up and just let lose. Control the tempo, if he cant beat a guy standing just take him down like any good striker/superior wrestler. Speers needs some edges polished but Dana was right, if he finds the right camp he culd be a warrior.

Im curious to see what camp Tommy goes to. Regardless the guy is so quiet he probably takes everything in like a sponge. I think he probably would have benefitted more being on Serra's team and sharpen his JJ skills. I could see Tommy leaving because of his arm too, but for some reason I have a feeling it's Matt, only because he seems to be the weak link in the bunch. But if it is somebody on Serra's team, they can't be replaced by Hightower, War Machine or Troy because they all have fights that night. The only decent fighters I havent seen on the card so far are Barrera and Billy.

Tommy just seems like another Josh Koscheck in the making to me...minus being a douche lol. his fights have been exciting until he gets in control, then it LnP all the way.
