| Did Danzig belong on TUF
Does anyone else think that Danzig was a total ringer and shouldn't have been on the show? It seems pointless to have a bunch a greenhorns on a show and throw a savy veteran into the picture. I felt it should either be a bunch of rookies with a handfull of fights or a bunch of vets yet to debut on UFC.

TBH i think it's ok that he was on the show.
The 1 pride fight that he had...he got owned...(by sukari)
his record is impressive but he hasn't beat anyone very notable.
i just think that maybe people like billy miles and blake bowman SHOULDNT be on the show...

well to be honest,i dont think he really belonged on the show.i mean every fight he had on the show he breezed through and the finale.it was very clear to me that he had awhole lot more talent then the other guys had that he fought.i think he should have got into the ufc without being on the show.and a greener guy could have took his place on the show

It would have been a better match-up with George, but I think Dana and the Matts wanted to save that one for the final until Speer derailed it.

Danzig should be on the show, but a lot of guys that were on the show shouldnt have been. Bowman, Miles, Hightower, and War Machine, were all guys that IMO shouldnt have been on the show at all. There are a lot better WWs out there that would have wanted to be on the show. I think if he was on TUF 2 with all those WWs he would have been taken out fairly early. But he is just like Bisping, the guy with the most talent on a show full of cans. Its really not his fault the UFC didnt get any real contenders in there.

if anything, he belonged on season 4 w/ the rest of the comback guys. i know he hasnt faught in the UFC before teh show but he did fight for WEC. even tho he lost to pelligrino, i still consider him a much more experienced fighter so i put him up there w/ shonie and all them.

No..
When it was announced that Danzig was going to be on the show, I said he was over qualified and the definite winner..
He knew it towards the end of the show. He was going on about how those guys only had 2 or 3 fights and Matt Hughes was going to hard on them... and then he said, "What am I doing here?" referring to the fact that he was a veteran.
He realized he didn't belong there. The guy is a former champion, he fought in PRIDE, he didn't need to be there.
I am glad he was, because he is in the UFC now and I think he will be a good addition to the LW division.... but he didn't belong on TUF

Danzig is a natural lightweight. He had experience, but was giving up a lot of weight/reach/strength to other fighters on the show. His record looks impressive but he hasn't beaten anyone great.
That being said, I think its a terrible show and nobody who is actually good belongs on it.
