I'm not sure how I feel about Noah's decision to leave TUF this year.

On the one hand this is a guy who has left a "game show" to save a realtionship that for all we know could be the his future wife. On the other hand is he a guy who jumps everytime his GF clicks her fingers?

Either way Dana's reaction was typical of the asshole he appears to be, but my questions are this:

If the fighters ae unable to comunicate with their loved ones, how did a letter regarding his girlfriend get to Noah?

He brought back Jesse, who I can only imagine has spent the last few weeks with his family/friends "comunicating". So why couldn't Noah have a five minute phone call?

I still don'y understand why Dana brought back the one losing Ortiz fighter for a Shamrock fighter who are now 5 down?

personally i don't think dana is an asshole. they have rules and i believe that he was right when he said if he did it for one person then he'd have to do it for everybody and what sense would that make. i mean his situation wasnt important. it was something that could of been prolonged. i mean he could of waited. i mean i bet she would be much happier if he would of stayed and had the possibility to have won. lets face it any woman would rather a guy come home with a nice contract and some cash money, then come home empty handed. i think he robbed himself of a great oppertunity. plus i believe he robbed others who (though debatable) when put in the same situation they would of stayed. it's a shame he left too. as they said they guy was already in the semi-finals and i believe he could of won.

In my opinion Noah is a douche. He only had 2 weeks (and possibly less) anyways. Why give up your chance to support yourself/her financially just to go back. He even stated on the TUF forum that the letter said that she was upset but that she loved him and was proud of him for what he was doing, so she wasn't even asking him to leave.

Look at some of the other guys on the show: Josh has 3 kids one of whom almost died of a brain tumor. I'm sure he would like to call home too but he doesn't ask because he knows its against the rules. I think Bisping mentioned having 2 kids. All these guys have reasons to call home.

If I was Noah and the whole situation bothered me that much, I would have handled it differently. Why not hop the fence and go look for a pay phone? Leben did it in season 1 and nobody did anything. The worst they would probably do is kick you off the show (which still looks better than quitting). Hell ask dana for a stamp and write the girl a letter. They might let you do that and you don't have to quit.

explain again why the contestants aren't allowed to call home?

It seemed Noah wanted out anyway, but Dana does not need to go on screen to slate the guy for wanting to patch things up with his GF.

Come to think of it Dana does not need to go on screen at all.

The only real reason I can come up with for the guys not being able to call home is that happy people make for boring television. It's kinda fucked up but the show can't stay without ratings -> for ratings they need drama -> unhappy people are more likely to be dramatic

the reason these guys arent allowed outside contact with the outside world im sure is there way of showing commitment. its there way to show how dedicated they are. like dana said guys who are in the UFC they don't get alot of time with their families and things like that. so i guess he figures if they can't disconnect themselves from the outside world for a few weeks to win a contract, then they don't have what it takes to make it in the UFC.

i don't think Noah should be banned from the forum. hell i'd love to hear from him and ask him if he thinks he still made the right decision. im thinking his answer/opinion is different now from what we heard on the show.

Punishment is handling things for me, really nothing much left to cover. The letter was how he found out about the girl (I had originally wondered the same thing, no contact w/ outside world, how'd he hear rumor of girlfriend thinking he's cheating on him?). Secondly, who gives a shit. 6 month relationship, if it's meant to be his future wife it will. That's for starters. Secondly, if the relationship meant as much to her as it did to him, she could've waited a few more weeks to let her boyfriend she cares about so much finish trying to chase his dream. Say he did pork some other bitch on the side, he certainly isn't or won't be the next few weeks he's on that show, so why send a letter to him and fuck his head up when he's in a competition where your fighting every week? That's a shitty selfish thing to do, and for lack of better knowledge, coulda been done soley just to get her name or likeness mentioned on TV. "Oh Johnny, Peter, Abigail, come look...my boyfriend is mentioning me on TV!!!! Set the VCR!!!" Leave the man alone, he's got enough on his mind and if it was true, handle the shit when he's back. He's in a house full of guys, unless he goes fag on you with Danny and that other dude Matt? - who were acting a little iffy-iffy an episode or two back, unless he goes fag he isn't cheating on you at that particular moment in time, so ask him about the rumored cheating incident that would've had to happen before he left, when he comes back. Selfish. But it's not her fault, she's not the heel, Noah is the guy who lost his balls on national TV. Something else had to be going on in his mind, he won his fight so it couldn't of been fear of fighting or anything like that, just knowing the history of the show he had to know at least being in the semi-finals guarantees him 1,000 Ultimate Fight Night bookings, and probably some undercard PPV matches. Quitting the show on bad terms with Dana could, probably won't, but could hurt his chances of ever competing in the UFC, which has to be his dream or he wouldn't of joined up for the show in the first place. The whole thing was just stupid, he's a mental midget like Tito always says, so he didn't belong anyway. To the other dude on this thread that said why did they bring back a Tito guy when Shamrock is 5 down, I thought the guy they brought back was on Shamrock's team?
