Your Final Season 7 Thoughts

This season had to be the 3rd best behind the first and fifth. Team Griffin has to be the best coached team in the History of The Ultimate Fighter. They really know how to execute a game plan. Much Credit has to go to Cameron Diffley. Many guys from this season imo has what it takes to be successful including Amir, CB, Tim, Harris, Jessie, and maybe Brown,Riddle, and Cramer. Was one hell of a season with many entertaining coaches and fighters.

Well, the orginal match up i had set for the finals is gone and happened on the last show(Timmy and CB)
But it will be a great final where i say Amir takes it

I honestly think that this was the 2nd best season after the 6th

one of my favorite seasons so far and I must say I think Amir has as much potential as anybody thats ever been on tuf and for the UFC to find him with no Pro MMA bouts and put him on the show is one of the great finds of the TUF era.

Maybe it is just me but this season was very boring and uninteresting. It was just the same old format with guys who were there to fight but lacked in the skills department in most cases. I stopped watching after 3 episodes and from what I have heard about this season I do not regret not watching.

I don't know exactly how much coaching comes into play. In that short of time you can't teach someone how to fight. That skill already has to be there. I think there are definitely advantages, but it's not THAT much of a reason behind who won.

I also don't think Rampage is a coach, but he admitted that too. Who knows.

I have a bad taste in my mouth this season and I probably always will. Here's why.

When they started the show they had 32 guys right? they fought and the remaining guys got to move into the house. I think it was an incredibly shitty thing to do bringing 32 guys in thinking they were already going to be there for the season just like every other season. it was shitty because many of those guys left jobs thinking they were going to be in the show. They should have known this going in. When was the last season that you went home immediately after losing a fight?

How many of those people would have opted not to go if they had to choose between their job, and a one shot chance? I'm betting they'd have mostly all gone, but not outright quit their jobs, and did that IF they won

I thought the change in format having the 32 guys fight to get in the house and having 2 episodes of just qualifing fights really helped this season. I also thought there was a renewed focus on the fights this season. Less reality bs and more fights is the key to it for me.

Also thanks for sharing your opinion on something you admittly didnt watch. :confusedsmilie: Kinda of tough to judge the season fairly based on a couple of episodes and what you heard isn't it?

I completely agree. I hope they stick with it for future seasons.

Just a few weeks ago everyone was talking about how much this season sucks, now everyone's saying best or 2nd best.

The last 2 episodes were phenomenal but the season as a whole was a stinker. Evident of this is how few guys were invited back for the finale.

I don't think Forrest or Rampage had anything to do with the success or failures of the fighters this season. Rampage and Forrest didn't do much in the way of coaching. Forrest was telling his guys at one point to just lay there and finish the round.

With all that said, I had very high expectations when this season was announced but was very disappointing. Rampage and Forrest were the only saving graces with their comedic relief and their camera time was few and far between. And as the Forrest moved on, Forrest was less and less the character he had become to be known as.

If they can't do it better with TUF 8, it may be time to change up the format if they intend on moving forward.

Yeah the 32 guys format was nice for the first two episodes but after that is was the same old same old. And three episodes was enough to realize that. Seven season of this thing si enough to know nothing is going to change. So your welcome for my opinion.

Next season take the alcohol out of the house, give the guys some movies and video games, when you lose, you go home. Focus more on the coaching and fights, less on antics and bullshit.
