Haha guess Joe Duarte wasnt the next Anderson "Spider". I was waiting on Joe to explode and ko him but it never happened. I think the kid Nover is Dana was talking about.

Maybe, but no matter who it was, you don't throw out a spider comparison to anyone at this point.

Maybe he just wanted to hype the show? Even the Spider didn't blow me away until he beat up Franklin (not saying he wasn't good before but not saying he stood out before that fight either)

I really want to see Junie vs Phillipe. *fingers crossed*

As for who Dana was talking about, Phillipe Nover really mixed up his attack. In that sense, maybe, he could be compared. Still, it's way too early and we've only seen one fight from him on the show thus far.

Anderson Silva has had many awesome moments and fought many great fighters before he ever came to the UFC. You must not have watched many of his fights.

Even the Leben fight should have let you know that this guy was something else.

It was a good fight but Leben doesn't really impress me much. I have seen Anderson before ufc but I wasn't able to make my mind up until I could see him take on someone who is top 5 in MW. I consider franklin top 5 so that's when I realised that the spider is better than really good.
