| Bisping and Henderson set to become TUF9 coaches Quote:
U.K. star and “Ultimate Fighter” season 3 winner, Michael “The Count” Bisping is set to become one of the coaches for the next season of the reality series alongside former Pride middleweight and light heavyweight champion, Dan Henderson.
The UFC are set to hand Bisping the position following his upcoming clash next month against Chris Leben at UFC 89, a fight officials will be hoping to use to solidify his recent standing in the middleweight division.
This is will then set up a number one contenders fight between Bisping and his opposing coach, thought to be Henderson, after the show finishes next summer, with the winner being grated a middleweight title shot, possibly in December next year.

Usually the coaches fight at the end of the season, so does that mean Bisping v Hendo will be coming soon? Finally Bisping will get the chance to prove himself.

I think Hendo is a great choice for this.
Bisping will be taking a huge jump up in competition.

IF it's Hendo of course.
That's a fight I'd really like to see but I don't think the number 1 contendership makes sense. Hendo just had his title shot and was won 1 fight against a fighter that's not even in the top 10.
I do think Hendo would make a good coach and it's a great chance to expose him to the casual viewer a bit more

This is exactly what I was thinking when I heard about USA vs. UK. I wish I posted it I would've looked like a genious.

What about Nate Marquadt vs. Hendo? Bisping still needs to fight a top contender in the Middle weight division.

ummm, what if bisping loses to leben?
because they already announced it as UK vs US during the fight night. sooo, if he loses, do they still go ahead with it and pretend his loss to leben didnt happen? that'd be pretty crappy.

this is great news for both guys. This could possibly propel Bisping in the way that it propelled Forrest, and having Hendo as a coach will definitely expose him to the TUF fans. HELL YES mma is only getting bigger and bigger
edit: I wonder if Hendo will have Lindland as an assistant coach or if Dana will be like helll to the naw.

I was thinking the same thing. If Bisping loses to Leben, it kinda tosses the idea of the coaches fighting for number 1 contender status out the window. I am excited at the idea of Hendo being a coach though, I've been wanting this since the day the show started.
