TUF 9 thoughts

I've been reading around all the forums and people still aren't sold on this USA vs. UK TUF idea. When I heard it was going to be that format I was more than excited. The UK has a LOT of talented guys, but the UFC doesnt seem as interested in them at the moment for some reason, even though they want to put on fights there every 2 months. I mean you look at a guy like Daley who's about to fight Jake Shields. He's a serious prospect and he slipped through the UFC's fingers. Granted he's coming to EXC from their baby company Cage Rage, but a lot of those guys want to be in the UFC, and he's just one example. I think, in order for the UFC to become this worldwide icon they are hoping to be with expansion they need more than Michael Bisping and Brandon Vera. It would be good for them maybe to put on a TUF UK only edition, maybe air it only in the UK because the TV ratings over here would probably be abismal, and then do the same thing in the Phillipines. I just think that international success will go downhill once guys like Chuck Liddell start retiring. You have to have that Homegrown star i think. Michael Bisping has proven to be a popular draw in England and in the US because they fed him to the US fans. Us true MMA fans have love for fighters from all countries and I think that we would all embrace new talented fighters the world has to offer. This is speaking from a UFC standpoint.

I think UFC is running out of ideas for TUF. I guess this is their attempt to bring something new.

I have nothing against guys from UK but personally I would prefer USA vs. Brazil format.

i see it exactly the opposite. the uk has a very poor selection of fighters.

An international flavor to the series would be nice, I'm just hoping they take it further than UK v USA or Canada v USA. I personally would like to see them move the location, like TUF: Brazil or some shit. That would be tight. IMHO

i think that's a good idea... changing the location.

also, i think it would be cool to still do the show in vegas but with an international group. prospects from all over... i don't know though, maybe you'd have to have interpreters for everyone just for them to be able to communicate?
