Default Something I've noticed about Mir and Nog

I didn't really care too much for either fighter. I mean I don't have anything bad to say, but they just weren't my favs.

I think Frank Mir is a lot different than I expected him to be. He's really nice and got great energy. I enjoy his commentary, and it seems like he's going to come out as a good coach. I really didn't expect to think those things. But I'm really warming up to him.

I didn't know anything about Nog other than his fighting. It seems like a LOT of Brazilians are extremely polite. But he's one step above. The things he says about his team are amazing. he's MUCH more focused on the team instead of just the fighters. That's what you need in this case because in the end it's the fighter by himself, but the show is about the team experience. Nog knows this and is putting a lot of emphasis on the team spirit which I think is monumentally important to success because it keeps people's heads in the right direction.

But the way he's so respectful of these guys that are peon's in this industry next to him. it's amazing. He says things like "He could open a restaurant if he didnt want to fight, I'd eat there" and things like this. I mean it's not just words, it comes across as very genuine.

I only wish I could have the same outlook Nog appears to have in life. I'm probably going to come out of this a huge fan.

yeah, I can see that. Sort of. but I had two life threatening things that happened to me when I was a kid. Not as bad as his, but I wasn't suppose to live with one. I don't think about that? it just becomes part of my past.

Has anyone noticed they focus on that doofus Keith Kizer during the weigh-ins more?

But yeah, I agree that Nog and Mir are great choices as coaches. It's nice to see a shift from "these two guys hate each other, lets create melodrama and pretend that makes for a better season."

I just wish TUF didn't mess up yet another title fight.

yeah the mess up sucks. But i think they were stuck in a bad spot and really didn't have a choice. I think when they staffed the show they were at a point where nobody thought Randy was coming back. So it made a lot of sense. That's all changed now.

I've been a Nog fan for quite a long time, but I've never been so keen on Mir. While the show has only helped reinforce my admiration for Nog, I find myself liking Mir more and more. I think both were excellent choices for coaches and I won't be surprised if this ends up bein one of the best seasons ever.

I still think Nog is gonna take Mir out though.

I totally agree. I enjoyed the drama and sorta bought into the hype (Jackson vs. Griffin), but these two guys (Mir and Nog) are much better coaches. I didn't think i'd like this season, but it's the coaches that are making this season great instead of the fighters themselves.

Ya you can really tell that this is a much more different TUF than usual, typically there would be a grudge between the coaches or something of that nature. So it really gives us an outlook on the characteristics of the individual fighter as crazy as they are.

I have heard a couple of interviews from Mir and i found that he is a well grounded guy and very thoughtful and that came as a surprise to me initially. And Nog, has that big uncle kind of vibe a very humbled person and it really shows his true self as a kind hearted guy.

This is trully a very interesting season of TUF
