I gotta say I'm kinda surprised that some people never came to the same conclusion. But to add to your point I remember when Matt Riddle's finale fight. It was a boring decision and you could tell from Rogan and Goldie that he wasn't going to be coming back win or lose.

But he did come back. He faought in Feb. and is in talks to fight at UFC 101.

I agree on the theory as a whole but you really have to make a showing in the house and handle your self well. I would be surprised if Pierce was invited back after this weeks show but there have been several fighters that didn't fight great on the show but ended up fighting several fights for UFC. I think Dana and Joe know that many of these guys are fighting out of thier weight class and that can really change things.

I started to notice that this past finale. The first season that I watched from the beginning and not on replay was Season 5 and I loved the fact that the finale featured pretty much all fights of people from the show. That is something that I miss a lot about the older seasons. If the talent pool is so bad that the fighters from the show can't fill out a card, that's just sad. Dana should put on more fight nights instead of filling the card with already established fighters taking up the contestants one shot
