To some degree, maybe you're right. Dana is obviously a business man and business deals are big to him.
However, we are not business men. We are MMA fans, and when Dana uses FAN based means to say, "Something big is coming!"..... it is he who is the "yoohoo". Especially when he is always making "BIG announcements." He sets himself up for it.
I understand your point, but it is extremely flawed. Fight fans aren't going to go gaga over a Chuck Liddell action figure.
Don't say "I have a big announcement" on your fan blog and then make it a businesss announcement.
Such deals like Bud Light are extremely important, and fans do care (when Bud Light signed with the UFC, it was a good day for MMA. It opened the door for many companies to get many sponsers). But that is not how most fans think. They think big announcement = something related to the fighters usually.
