Usually it's used for sports with a score, so you would be betting that Team X wins by 10 or more or you could bet that Team X doesn't win by 10 or more.
So in this case you can bet on whether or not Fedor wins in the first round. If he wins in the first round then your bet pays out, otherwise the Lindland doesn't lose in the 1st round bet will pay out.
This way if you think Fedor will destroy him then you can bet that Fedor wins in Rd 1 and get much better odds than betting on Fedor winning in general. Likewise if you think Lindland will lose but make it past the first round, you can make that bet.
