Four Fighters Officially Announced For SENGOKU II

MMANews.com's Jacob Spharler reporting …

Earlier today at a press conference in Japan, four participants for World Victory Road's second MMA event were officially announced. World renowned grappler Roger Gracie, former PRIDE and K-1 fighter Yoshihiro “Kiss” Nakao, Satoru Kitaoka, and Yuki Sasaki are the fighters scheduled to participate. No oppenents have yet been named.

Roger Gracie, of the famous Gracie family, will be making his return to MMA after defeating Ron Waterman in his debut at bodogFIGHT's USA vs. Russia in December of 2006. Gracie is the 2006 Abu Dhabi Absolute Champion, and was a Super Fight winner in 2007. His return to MMA has been highly anticipated.

Nakao is famously known for kissing Heath Herring during their stare down prior to a bout in K-1 HERO's, only to be knocked out by Herring following the kiss. Lately, he was rumored as the opponent to Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic at DREAM.1, but for some reason or another, that fight fell through. Nakao is coming into the event off a win against Edson Drago at PRIDE 34, which was the last PRIDE event to ever be held.

Satoru Kitaoka is a Pancrase vet who holds some big wins in his career over fights such as WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit, UFC vet Kurt Pellegrino, EliteXC vet and current Cage Rage welterweight champion Paul Daley, and Fabricio “Pitbull” Monteiro. He is coming into the event off of a loss to Katsuya Inoue at Pancrase “Shining 1” which took place in January of this year.

Grabaka team member Yuki Sasaki has fought for many different organizations. He's a veteran of the UFC, DEEP, Shooto, PRIDE, Pancrase, and more. His last fight was in the DEEP organization against South Korean fighter Bo Guk So, which he won by arm bar.
