Franca To Get Shot At Sean Sherk's Belt In July

UFC president Dana White announced at the UFC Fight Night post-show press conference last night that Hermes Franca would indeed be the next man in line for a shot at the Lightweight title.

Champion of the Lightweight division Sean Sherk is still recovering from an injury suffered in his championship winning performance against Kenny Florian. Because of that, Dana White mentioned the Sherk-Franca title bout would likely be held off until July.

Hermes Franca gained his eighth straight victory last night by scoring a TKO stoppage win over Spencer Fisher. After the bout Franca pulled a GSP-and got on his knees to request a title shot from Dana White. The purple-haired Brazilian apparently got his wish.
