Frank Trigg Says His Next Fight Will Take Place In February

Former UFC welterweight title contender turned middleweight journeyman Frank Trigg recently sent a message out via Facebook stating that he would be returning to action in February:

“It looks like I will be fighting in Feb but can't say where yet. Once the deal is done I will let you guys know.”

Trigg last fought for the Strikeforce organization in October posting a unanimous decision win over Falaniko Vitale. Trigg sports an 18-6 record and is riding a three fight win streak. Since leaving the UFC following a brutal submission loss to Georges St. Pierre at UFC 54 in August of '05, “Twinkle Toes” is 6-2 and at one point was the ICON Middleweight Champion in Hawaii.

Although the organization and opponent are not known, one could speculate that Trigg could be fighting on a rumored Strikeforce card that is in the works. Joe Riggs told last week that he would be fighting on the card but did not have any other details.
