Houston Alexander In A Must Win Situation Against

0

Following two knockout losses at the hands of Thiago Silva and, in a quick 8 seconds to James Irvin, Houston Alexander finds himself in a must win situation when he faces Eric Schafer on home turf in Omaha, NB tomorrow night on Spike TV.

UFC President Dana White has told Kevin Iole over at Yahoo Sport, that Alexander deparately needs to pick up a win at UFC Fight Night 15.

“There’s no doubt about that,” White said. “He needs a way. He desperately needs a win. Another loss and he’s going to have to go out and start working his way back up to the UFC.”

Eric Schafer found himself in a similiar situation when he lost two of his three fights inside the UFC Octagon and was forced to go elsewhere to pick up some wins and earn his way back to the big show. He won his last two fights at the Gladiators Fighting Series following a loss to Stephan Bonnar.

Schafer will be a tough test for Alexander, who burst onto the scene out of nohwere in 2007, knocking out Keith Jardine and Alessio Sakara in highlight reel fashion.

Schafer knows what it is like to go home and have to fight his way back up, Alexander on the other hand is at the big show and is on the brink of a ticket out the door so this should make for an entertaining bout as both fighters need wins.
