Jason MacDonald To Fight In September For MFC

Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald, who was recently cut by the UFC has found a new home in an old home of sorts as he will return to Maximum Fighting Championships on September 22nd at the River Cree Resort and Casino outside of Edmonton, AB Canada. MFC passed along the news to MMANews.com earlier today.

An opponent for the middleweight has not been named as of yet but can be expected to be announced shortly.

MacDonald began his career for the Edmonton based company and during his tenure, which included ten appearances, went 8-2. He holds a career record of 21-12. Although he is still held in high graces with the UFC, two losses in a row caused the company to request MacDonald to go and find some wins outside of the big show.

MFC 22: Payout will air live on HDNet on September 22nd and the full card for the event will be available as soon as we have it.
