Javier Vazquez Announces Retirement After ShoXC Victory

To the surprise of many, top Lightweight mixed-martial artist Javier Vazquez announced his retirement from MMA during his post-fight interview at the ShoXC show tonight, Saturday, October 27th on Showtime.

After defeating J.C. Pennington via rear-naked choke submission in just over a minute into round one, Vazquez mentioned that when it feels like you're clocking in and out everyday in the sport, it's time to call it quits.

I don't know of anyone who saw that one coming.

We'll have a complete ShoXC recap immediately following the event, which will end shortly as the main event is all that's left on the live fight card.
