After being forced to the sidelines with an injury, Jon Fitch is now ready to return to the cage and will be doing so in December at UFC 141.

ESPN.com reports that Fitch has verbally agreed to face Johny Hendricks on December 30th. It will be his first match up since fighting to a draw with BJ Penn at UFC 127 in Australia earlier this year.

Fitch was cleared to begin training earlier this month by doctors following successful surgery to repair the shoulder.

The Fitch vs. Hendricks match up joins the card that will feature Brock Lesnar returning to action to welcome newly signed former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champ Alistair Overeem to the UFC.
