Jonathan Meunier Steps In For Alex Garcia At UFC Fight Night 89

Canadian Jonathan Meunier has agreed to step in and replace Alex Garcia, taking on Colby Covington next Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 89.

Meunier (7-0) is a native of Quebec City, Quebec. His welterweight bout with Covington will stream live on UFC Fight Pass from Ottawa.

The 28-year-old has finished all seven of his opponents, including five via knockout. He is 2-0 this year, defeating Francis Charbonneau and Stephen Martinez inside of the first round.

Covington is looking to bounce back from his first pro loss, a setback to Warlley Alves. The American Top Team fighter is 8-1 in his career.
