Jose Aldo Out, Jens Pulver Vs. Urijah Faber 2 On Tap for WEC 38

0

Despite recent rumors that Urijah Faber would return to action in January to face Jose Aldo, it now appears that the former WEC featherweight champion will actually fight in a rematch against Jens Pulver at WEC 38.

MMANews.com has confirmed the bout with a source close to the Pulver camp.

The two first fought in June in a five round war that seen Faber come out on top.

Both fighters fought at the last WEC card and both would be on the receiving end of first round KO losses. Faber would lose the featherweight crown to Mike Brown and Pulver was KO'd by former UFC lightweight Leonard Garcia.

It is likely that Garcia will fight Brown in the near future. It is also likely that the winner of the Faber and Pulver rematch will get a shot at the winner of the Garcia and Brown title fight when it happens.
