Karo Parisyan Tests Positive For Pain Killers Following UFC 94


The NSAC has passed along the banned and illegal substance test results following UFC 94 and one fighter has come back with negative results. Karo Parisyan has tested positive for pain killers following his split decision win over Dong Hyun “Stun Gun” Kim at UFC 94. The pain killers he had tested positive for were Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone and Oxymorphone.

Parisyan was the only fighter ont he card that tested positive for a banned substance. All other fighters, including main eventers Georges St. Pierre and BJ Penn tested clean.

Parisyan has been battling depression issues as well as injuries that had previously forced him out of a September bout with Yoshiyuki Yoshida the day before the event.

Prior to UFC 94, the company reportedly had a replacement on stand by for Parisyan as it was felt he may not be able to compete on the card.
