Khabib Nurmagomedov Undergoes Surgery, Says He’ll Be Back In Early 2015

Rising UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov underwent successful surgery this week to repair his torn ACL and meniscus, an injury that forced the number four ranked UFC Lightweight contender to pull out of his scheduled bout with the number five ranked contender, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.

Following surgery, Nurmagomedov posted the following message on his official Instagram account, which included a photo of himself in his hospital bed (pictured below):

“Today I had surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus, make [do] for me back in early 2015”

As of this writing, UFC has yet to announce a replacement for Cerrone.
