Breaking News: Melendez Out, French in at Bushido

Sherdog.com on Wednesday was informed by MMA manager Monte Cox that Gilbert Melendez has been forced to withdraw from PRIDE’s November 5 Bushido lightweight showdown against Shinya Aoki.

Cox-managed athlete Clay French will replace the Californian and do battle with the popular 23-year-old grappler.

French, who will make his overseas debut, brings an 8-1 record to the ring against the 7-2 Team Paraestra Tokyo fighter.
