Cerrone, Varner Set To Settle Score
In the time that he sport of Mixed Martial Arts has evolved, the fighters have become true professionals, with the pre-fight glove touch and post-fight respect shown for each other cemented in the sport.
On the flip-side of that, certain fighters end up on a collision course with one another for much of their respective careers as have Donald Cerrone and Jamie Varner.
The constant power struggle in these scenarios has a way of breeding ill will.
Similar to the rivalry between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, you can't possibly avoid feelings of animosity towards someone or some team that you face multiple times with extremely high stakes on the table.
No matter what name you give it, enemies, rivals, blood feud, it still only means one thing.
Winning isn't enough.
A feeling of wanting to make your opponent pay more than necessary plays into it.
