The UFC has issue a press release stating that their debut event in Dublin, Ireland on January 17th has sold out. UFC UK Division President Marshall Zelaznik offered the following statement in the release:

"The UFC brand of mixed martial arts is the already biggest indoor sport in the UK - and we are ecstatic that the popularity and passion for the UFC is matched across the Irish Sea. This is our seventh successive sell-out in the British Isles since April of 2007, and we now hold records in six of the biggest arenas in all of Europe. We have the most dedicated and passionate fans in sport and we are thrilled to be bringing some of the biggest names in the sport to the Emerald Isle early in the New Year."

The rumored fight card for the event to date is:

Main event:

205 lbs.: Rich Franklin (24-3) vs. Dan Henderson (23-7)

Main card (Televised):

205 lbs.: Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (16-3) vs. Mark Coleman (15-8)
170 lbs.: Marcus Davis (15-4) vs. Chris Lytle (26-16-5)
205 lbs.: Ivan Serati (10-2) vs. Tomasz Drwal (14-2)


Under card (May not be broadcast):

205 lbs.: Andre Gusmao (5-1) vs. Antonio Mendes (15-3)
