Dana White Confirms GSP-Koscheck II For UFC 124 In Montreal On 12/11
Posted on Aug 30, 2010
Koscheck has traveled a different path to the 12/11 showdown in Montreal, grinding things out with mixed success en route to a slot on the TUF series and an eventual title shot. Since the loss to GSP at UFC 74, Koscheck has amassed a 6-2 record, dropping fights to Thiago Alves in late 2008 and Paulo Thiago in early 2009.

More recently Koscheck has gone 3-0 inside the octagon, knocking out Frank Trigg in September of last year, submitting Anthony Johnson with a rear naked choke last November and grinding out a decision over the controversial Paul Daley this past May.

With questionable antics in two of the three aforementioned fights mixed with his sometimes abrasive persona, Koscheck is at an all-time high in terms of his appeal as the bad-boy of the sport. He'll enter GSP's hometown of Montreal in December a heel equivalent to ten-Brock Lesnar's following a regular multi-week appearance on TV opposite MMA's most natural Canadian-born babyface.

All of this pretty much ensures UFC 124 to go down as a historical night in MMA history, so get ready for the ride, it begins just two short weeks from Wednesday on Spike TV.

Hell yeah.
