TheUltimateFighter.com To Feature The Best Of Josh Koscheck
Posted on Aug 31, 2010
New York, NY, August, 31, 2010 – UltimateFighter.com will celebrate the season 12 coach with “Month of Koscheck,” a look at Koscheck’s greatest moments during the inaugural season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” In 2005, Koscheck was a part of the historic cast of the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” and his shock of bleach blonde hair and explosive feud with Chris Leben made him one of the show’s most polarizing figures amongst fans. UltimateFighter.com will feature special content each day of Koscheck including complete episodes, full fights, special clips, all to be kicked off Wednesday, September 1st with an exclusive interview with the coach and a look at his very first fight on season 1.
Koscheck, one of the most accomplished wrestlers in the UFC, was named an All American in all four years of his academic career at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania, where he earned a degree in criminal justice in May 2001. His myriad of collegiate accolades include an undefeated season that same year, where he went 42-0 en route to a national championship in the 174 pound division. Upon graduating, Koscheck coached wrestling at Penn State University, and later, at the State University of New York at Buffalo. After losing in season 1 during the semi-finals to Diego Sanchez by split decision, Koscheck joined the famed American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, CA, and has since compiled a 13-4 record in the UFC, with wins over Jonatahan Goulet, Diego Sanchez, Frank Trigg and Anthony Johnson on his ledger. He hopes to avenge one of his losses by defeating St-Pierre, first as a coach, and then as a combatant, to become the UFC welterweight champion. Ultimatefighter.com unlocks a video-rich experience that UFC fans have been waiting for, with over 1000 clips, full episodes and other video assets from all 11 seasons of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Every knockout, submission and fight finish from the series can be viewed through the site’s annotated video player, which houses the over 245 complete fights that aired on TUF. That number includes the full fight cards of all eleven season finales. |
