MMANEWS.COM Staff Writer The Netherlands played host to an exciting, albeit small event this weekend which featured a couple of familiar faces. Amongst those recognizable faces were John Alessio, Derrick Noble, David Bielkheden and Roan Carneiro, four UFC castaways who still have plenty to offer. Of those four however, only two were victorious on Saturday. John Alessio stopped grizzled veteran Sergey Golyaev with an impressive second round kimura. Roan Carneiro meanwhile, scored a unanimous decision victory over Luis Ramos. Unfortunately for Derrick Noble, things didn’t go quite so well. The dangerous prospect Siyar Bahadurzada put Noble away with strikes in under two minutes. David Bielkheden didn’t fare much better, as he was choked into submission in just 36 seconds by relative unknown Tommy Depret. In the events only other bout, Hracho Darpinyan defeated Robert Jocz via KO early into the first frame. |
