The Ultimate Fighter Season 12, Episode 7 Report
Posted on Oct 29, 2010
Round two begins, and after Dane lands a nice straight punch to the face of Sako, it’s back up against the cage. Once again, Chivitchyan controls the majority of the action, but in all honesty, action isn’t the best word for it. For five more minutes the two jockey for position, with Dane having his moments, but Sako controlling for the most part.
After the second frame ends both teams are confident that the bout was close enough to ensure a third round. They’re wrong, as Dana announces, “fights over guys.” Sako is rewarded the unanimous decision win. After the final preliminary bout, the coaches are called in to discuss who should be picked for the wild card fight. Koscheck is in favor of Aaron Wilkinson and Marc Stevens, while GSP vies for a Sayers second chance, as well as casting another vote for Wilkinson. Dana makes the final call, and we’re looking at a clash between Team Koscheck members Marc Stevens and Aaron Wilkinson. A brief look at next week shows the tension spawned by the wildcard selection, as well as what looks to be the moment we’ve all been waiting for; the escalation of Koscheck and Tate’s little “beef”; it’s going to be a fun week.
