Gerald Harris Cut By UFC

This bit of information comes as a genuine surprise; following his decision defeat to UFC newcomer Maiquel Jose Falcao Goncalves at UFC 123: Rampage Vs Machida.

Despite stringing together 10 back-to-back victories, with three of those wins coming inside the octagon (all three of them were stoppages), Dana White and company have apparently deemed Harris unfit to continue competing in the UFC’s middleweight division.

Whether there are some issues the public is unaware of or not remains to be seen, but the cut seems an odd move. Three impressive wins versus one single decision defeat should by no means equate to unemployment.

Harris, who boasts a professionall record of 17-3 has fought (and won) for some of the bigger promotions in North America, including the now defunct IFL. He’s an exciting wrestler with big punches and brutal slams, and given his recent success inside the octagon, he’ll likely have little difficulty finding employment with another rival promotion.

A few nice options include the surging Bellator promotion, as well as the only other organization to even hold a candle to the UFC, Strikeforce. Both have decent middleweight divisions, and both offer a wealth of promotion and fan visibility, two things Gerald has clearly earned.

Title..
It doesnt really matter what or where harris goes. Seriously, ok say he goes to strikeforce. what do they have, 5 decent middleweights? Samething with Bellator. The thing is, if you get cut from the UFC, your not good enough to fight the best fighters. Simply put who gives a fuck about harris or anyone else who gets cut from the ufc.
