Diaz Versus Santos Headlines January 29th Strikeforce Event

Nick Diaz (23-7-0-1) will be defending his welterweight title come January 29th, but it won’t be against the attention starved Jason “Mayhem” Miller. Rather, Diaz will lock horns with Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos (18-13).

The bout will headline the event, which will see Diaz look to defend his title for a second time.

Diaz is currently riding an eight fight win streak, which includes victories over Frank Shamrock, Scott Smith, Marius Zaromskis, Hayato Sakurai and K.J. Noons.

Santos is riding a two fight win streak, with his most recent victory coming against Marius Zaromskis, who he finished in under three minutes at Strikeforce: Los Angeles.

Also tapped for the event are bouts between Ronaldo Souza and Robbie Lawler, Herschel Walker and Scott Carson, and Roger Gracie and Trevor Prangley.

What a fucking joke...Strikeforce keps hand feeding the 4 good fighters they have. Miller would def kill diaz and the top 5 ww's in UFC would tear his head off. Diaz looks good when hes fighting class C fighters that are washed up, remember he lost 3 in a row in UFC. Whats that mean?

Biased reporting much? Why don't you just report the news instead of putting personal opinions in there.

Nicky "The Duck" Diaz won't fight Miller. Miller would ruin Diaz. Miller would tap him, first round.
