Posted on Dec 30, 2010
A storied career of "The Iceman" Chuck Liddell officially came to an end today as it was announced at the UFC 125 pre-fight press conference that Liddell would be hanging up the 4 oz. gloves he once used inside the Octagon.

Liddell, who played a significant part in helping grow MMA to where it is today, will be keeping a job outside of the cage with the UFC. UFC President Dana White announced at the conference that Liddell will become the new Vice President Of Buisness Development for the company. Basically, he'll continue to help grow the sport from outside the fence.

Liddell finishes his career with a record of 21-8, with thirteen knockouts, one submission and seven decisions accounting for the twenty one wins.

He is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion who successfully defended the strap four times and is a UFC Hall of Famer.

Liddell has been a poster for the UFC, appearing in TV shows such as HBO's Entourage, MTV's Punk'd and he has also spent a little time on the dance floor, appearing as a contestant on Dancing With The Stars.
