Not only did L.C. Davis (16-4) not make the cut when the WEC merged with the UFC (despite securing three impressive wins in his five fight stay), he’ll now be forced to sit on the sidelines and watch another opportunity pass him by.

Davis was tapped to appear on the upcoming Titan FC 16 card on January 28, but recently suffered a knee injury while preparing for his bout with Jared Downing. The news first broke this morning, and has now been confirmed by sources close to the fighter.

At this point Downing is still left with no opponent to fill the void, though Titan brass are actively seeking a replacement.

No word has been released as to the severity of Davis’ injury, and no projected return date has been mentioned as of this news break.
