Dana White Talks Possibility Of Royce Gracie Fighting At UFC: Rio
Posted on Jan 23, 2011
UFC President Dana White held a Q&A this past weekend during the UFC: Fight For Troops weigh in and talked about the odds of seeing Royce Gracie returning to the Octagon one more time for the UFC's summer event in Rio:

"We're actually doing a fight in Brazil on Aug. 29," White said. "It's our first time ever going to Rio de Janeiro. We went down there to do a big press conference. [Gracie] came with us and was part of the press conference. He's still very close to the UFC, and we talk to him all the time. He still wants to fight one more time. "He's retired right now," White said. "He's a good guy, though. We look at him as the father of this whole thing. We've got nothing but respect for him, and he's still very much involved with us."

Royce
Really? I dont know if I like this. I mean Royce is the man. There would be no UFC or MMA for that matter if it wasnt for him. So he's the man. As far as fighting goes....well what's it been going on 4 years since he fought sakaraba? And he failed his pee pee test. And The fight before that was Matt in UFC and...despite him not making a single expression when Matt had his arm looking like the letter S, Royce did nothing and got beat down pretty badly. I dunno. Royce shouldnt fight. Shouldnt have to. Nothing to prove.

Title..
i think the ufc doing a show in Rio will be awsome!but im kinda of worried the entire card will be stacked with mainly brazilians.yes,i understand the ufc dosent venture to that part of the world too often, and the fighters from brazil would love to fight in the home country under the ufc banner, but still.i dont know who they would have royce fight, but i think him being on the card somewhere (deff not the main event or co-mainevent) would be pretty cool.
