Dave “Pee-Wee” Herman has been consistently dispatching of decent foes for nearly five years. He’s secured victories for numerous quality promotions, including ShoXC, Sengoku, Shark Fights and Bellator Fighting Championships.

Throughout his journey he’s secured an incredibly impressive 20-2 professional record. Amongst his most notable wins lie victims such as Don Frye, Ron Waterman, Mario Rinaldi and Jim York. In short, this is a man well versed in toppling mid-level opposition.

Now, according to MMAweekly.com, inside sources have confirmed Herman’s signing, and expect the 6'5“ wrestler to debut at UFC 131. No potential opponent has been named at this point.

Insiders are already predicting a baptism by fire for Herman, as he’s proven time and again capable of knocking off decent fighters. But, is tossing Herman to the wolves for his debut a wise idea? Experienced or not, no one avoids the first time jitters that accompany UFC debuts, and it would be a shame to see a stellar prospect forced into a meeting an elite opponent having not been given the chance to acclimate to his new surroundings.

Here’s hoping Joe Silva establishes a solid, but beatable opponent for Herman’s debut.
