After the drug testing controversy that followed Thiago Silva’s convincing victory over Brandon Vera at UFC 125, it seems “The Truth” hasn’t been fired just yet.

In light of Silva’s potential “cheating”, the victory may likely be overturned to a no contest. Vera’s third consecutive loss will magically disappear from his ledger, and it looks like he’ll get at least one more crack inside the octagon.

Fiveouncesofpain.com initially broke the news, which has now been confirmed by multiple sources.

The interesting thing is, there is still no solid proof that Silva failed his drug screening, only that a single tested competitor did indeed fail, and the details are still being sorted out. Given that other tested competitors have been cleared, the assumption is that Silva is the guilty party, though it’s yet to be confirmed.

Regardless, for the time being, Vera is back on the UFC roster.
