Zuffa and Spike will once again treat fight fans to an hour of free fights on March 19th.

Two preliminary bouts from UFC 128 will showcased on live, free television, and this pair of preliminaries is a true treat.

First, we’ll get a look at Luis Artur Cane (10-3-0-1) as he clashes with Karlos Vemola (8-1) in what may equate to a “loser leaves town” match. Cane has dropped two fights in a row, and in both instances he was stopped by strikes in the first round. A loss here could be detrimental to the Brazilian’s career. Karlos Vemola on the other hand is returning after a TKO victory over Seth Petruzelli. Prior to that victory he was outclassed by Jon Madsen. A loss to Cane would put Vemola at 1-2 for the promotion, and that’s dangerous ground for a relative newcomer.

In another bout certain to provide fireworks, surging lightweight Edson Barboza Jr. (7-0) will collide with former WEC star Anthony Njokuani (13-4-0-1). Both men are known for their potent striking, and devastating finishes. A win for Njokuani means he’ll be hanging around the promotion a bit longer. A win for Barboza means a likely leap to the main card, as the Muay Thai specialist looks to have a phenomenal understanding of combat; a fact that UFC brass seems well aware of.

The UFC 128 prelim show gets underway on Spike, March 19th at 6 pm PT.
