Hardy vs. Lytle: In what’s been announced as Chris Lytle’s final fight, fireworks erupted. Chris and Dan Hardy met toe to toe and unleashed absolute fury upon one another.
Lytle looked to be the more precise and impressive of the two, as he bombarded Hardy with vicious combinations, landing to the body on numerous occasions, only to answer up top with looping punches that visibly hurt Hardy. To Hardy’s credit, he managed to stun the unstoppable “Lights Out” on a few occasions, but was never afforded the chance to capitalize and finish the durable veteran. Heading into the final frame, it looked as though Chris Lytle was on his way to a secure decision victory. Hardy altered fate’s course however, as he shot a takedown with roughly one minute remaining in the round. Lytle, the savvy submission artist, caught Hardy in a tight guillotine, rolled the tough Brit, and forced a tap from the top position. Chris “Lights Out” Lytle closes out his professional career with a record of 31-18-5. Leave your feedback on this article by posting a comment directly below!
