It was rough early on, but M-1 Global light heavyweight champ Vinny Magalhaes overcame adversity, and put challenger Mikhail Zayats away with a barrage of strikes in the third frame of M-1 Challenge 27’s main event. The beginning of the end came when Vinny landed a brutal high kick that sent the challenger reeling; a series of follow-up blows put an end to the bout.

Magalhaes now rides a five fight win streak; his professional record stands at 9-5-0-1.

Zayats professional ledger now stands at 14-6.
