Following his first round technical knockout loss to Alistair Overeem at UFC 141: "Lesnar vs. Overeem," former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar announced his retirement from the UFC and mixed-martial-arts.

Lesnar came up on the short-end of a one-sided beatdown to the new UFC heavyweight number one contender Overeem, dropping the bout in the first round following an onslaught of knees and kicks to the body.

During his post-fight interview with pay-per-view commentator Joe Rogan, Lesnar announced his retirement from fighting inside the Octagon. Lesnar revealed that had he won, his last fight would have been for the heavyweight title against Junior Dos Santos. Instead, things worked out that Lesnar is calling his loss to Overeem on Friday night his final Octagon appearance.

Time will tell.

Hey Dana White!
Lesnar was Never a striker, so I knew he'd be champ when Couture was Champ because he's to big and wants to lay on his opponent. But, he's not one of the best in the World. Hey Dana, why not have under 250 pounds the Heavy Weight Title and over 250 as the World Title! That way the biggest, strongest guys could fight in the UFC. And you better get Fedor eventually, or you will never have ALL the best from PRIDE and the WORLD!

UFC 141 Feedback
Brock Lesnar retiring didn't surprise me one bit. You can clearly tell that guy doesn't like to get punched for a living. Oh well, back to WWE!
