Once a highly touted professional wrestling convert, Bobby Lashley has fallen on hard times. After beginning his professional mixed martial arts career with five consecutive victories, the massive heavyweight has dropped two of his last four fights.

While losing is a part of this often unforgiving sport, it can be detrimental to one’s career when said defeats come at the hands of inferior fighters. This weekend Lashley’s stock nosedived, as he was outworked by a man he was heavily favored to beat: the always unpredictable journeyman, James Thompson.

Thompson swept the scorecards in the main event of Super Fight League 3, leaving a once promising prospect at the proverbial bottom of the barrel. At 35 years old, Lashley has little time to make waves in the sport, and setbacks of this nature certainly do the man no favors.

In addition to Thompson picking up an impressive victory, fan favorites Kultar Gill, Trevor Prangley and Zelg Galesic also notched knockout wins.
