The UFC dodged a bullet this week after UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo was hit by a car while driving his motorcycle through the streets of Brazil.
The news comes just days after Erik Koch was forced out of a October 13th title fight against Aldo with an injury and was replaced by Frankie Edgar.
After getting checked out and hearing that everything was OK, Aldo's coach Andre Pederneiras suggested the reigning 145lb kingpin take public transport until after his UFC 153 title defense.
