Rumor: Royce Gracie To Fight On New Years Eve In Japan
According to a story at World-MMA, the winner of UFC 1, 2, and 4, Royce Gracie could be fighting on the New Year's Eve DREAM card in Japan.
The legendary Gracie is in Japan now and is expected to be in attendance at DREAM 6 later this month where there is a possibility the company could be announcing Gracie's return to action.
He last fought in June 2007 when he defeated Kazushi Sakuraba in a rematch of there fight in Pride in the 2000 Open Weight Grand Prix that lasted over an hour. Sakuraba won that first fight when Gracie was unable to continue.
Although this is just a rumor at the time, there has been no mention of possible opponents. DREAM has been rumored to be in finanncial trouble and the idea of a rubber match between Gracie and Sakuraba could do huge numbers for the former K-1 Heros.
