According to a report by MMAFighting.com, welterweights Johny Hendricks and Kelvin Gastelum are nearing a fight date.
The two would meet at UFC 200 this July from Las Vegas. The card currently features several rumored bout for the T-Mobile Arena, including Conor McGregor-Nate Diaz, Cain Velasquez-Travis Browne and Gegard Mousasi-Derek Brunson.
Hendricks (17-4), a former UFC welterweight champion, was stopped in March by Stephen Thompson. It marked the first stoppage loss of “Bigg Rigg’s” career.
Like Hendricks, Gastelum (11-2) is coming off a loss and has battled weight-cutting issues in the past. The former Ultimate Fighter winner was bested by Neil Magny this past November.
