Revolution Fight Club Presser Notes From Sobe Knockouts

Sid Needelman Reporting…

On hand to help with publicity for this weekend’s Revolution Fighting Championships event were White Chocolate Management’s heavy hitters. Reed, the lead guy of the company and of the event was on hand with his staff and many of his fighters. Showing up with Hermes Franca, Reed introduced some of his other prized fighters Chuck Grigsby and Germaine de Randamie, and proudly had them meeting the fans on South Beach at Sobe Knockouts, a new MMA gear retail store.

Chuck Grigsby, taller than he looks like in pictures, was very nice to the fans that showed up for the evening. He was excited to talk about his main card fight at the next WEC against a guy who is mainly a wrestler. Chuck, a great striker, feels he is the man to bet on. He also was excited for the fights this weekend which he specifically flew to Florida to watch.

Also, excited about his next bout was Hermes Franca who was always quick to jump in the picture with any of the fans who came out to the last minute press event. As usual he was happy to talk to the fans and was his usual positive self about everything from this weekend’s RFC event on Friday, to his Friend Daniel Valverde’s new school in Miami. Hermes tried not to give away too many of the details, but he seemed fully aware that UFC champion Anderson Silva and UFC champion Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira are opening a school up in Miami with Daniel Valverde set to open next month.

In terms of Friday’s event in Fort Luaderdale, one fighter who was quite at the press event, but was well noticed was the super heavy weight fighter Mike making his pro debut. After plenty of amateur bouts he feels confident he is going to take home a win.

Also in attendance was Cult energy drink who kept the fans and fighters hydrated while free shirts were handed out to the fans and local fighters in attendance.

While not attending the press event, Roger Krahl assured his presence by way of his cornerman, to be in top condition for Friday night in the main event. He also said he will have no trouble making weight tomorrow at the weigh-ins.
